KDL Pathologists are board-certified and fellowship trained in their area of expertise and receive requests for consultation from other physicians across the country. KDL pathologists have teaching appointments at The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University and are actively involved in training pathology residents from both UT and Vanderbilt. In addition, our physicians routinely publish their research findings in peer-review journals.

Dr. Paul Googe is a board certified pathologist and has special qualifications in dermatopathology as certified by the American Board of Pathology and American Board of Dermatology. A native of Knoxville, Dr. Googe, is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He received his pathology and dermatopathology training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Doctor Googe is Clinical Professor of Pathology at Vanderbilt University Medical School and at the Graduate School of Medicine, University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville. Dr. Googe is Medical Director of Knoxville Dermatopathology Laboratory. |

Dr. Roy King is board certified in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology with subspecialty board certification in Dermatopathology by the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology. Dr. King attended medical school at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He received his pathology training at University of Manitoba, Canada and completed a Surgical Pathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. Dr. King received his dermatopathology training at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York under the direction of Drs. Martin Mihm, Jr and Andrew Carlson. |

Dr. Robert Page is board certified in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology with sub-speciality board certification in Dermatopathology by the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology. Dr. Page is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and attended medical school at the University of Arkansas. He received his pathology training and completed a Surgical Pathology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Page received his dermatopathology training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX under the direction of Dr. Jon Reed. |

Dr. Jamshed Haq is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Haq attended medical school at King Edward Medical College in Pakistan and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Services Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his medical education with an internship at Petersburg General Hospital in Petersburg, VA and received his pathology training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. |
| Dr. Timothy Powers is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Ophthalmology by the American Boards of Pathology and Ophthalmology. Dr. Powers graduated from the Quillen-Dishner College of Medicine. He received his pathology training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and completed a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Carolina. |
